Quote(s) of the Day: It's not that cold!
“I see a big one right there!”
That is the biggest fish I've ever caught!

Fishing Highlights:

Although it was short day, it was a productive one. I had the pleasure of fishing with Frankie, James, and Mike in the morning. Fishing was a little slow in the morning but James managed to catch a nice cutbow right before lunch. We had a lot more success after a nice warm meal prepared by chef. After lunch we only had about an hour to fish and Frankie caught two nice rainbow trout back to back. The best fish of the day goes to James who managed to get a fat 20in rainbow trout to the net! Sounds like a great field trip to me!We’ve had snow push into the forecast up here on Lincoln hills this week. Colder temps are here but the water is up so the fishery is still in great shape. The vigil group came up for a short session of fly fishing today. The morning hours consisted of a crash course into nymph fishing and we managed to hook quite a few fish and a couple hit the net. After a hot meal we went back out switching the groups a little. There was one goal in mind today, everyone catch a fish and we accomplished that. Thanks for a good day guys. It was a chilly day but that didn't stop Will and Baden from soaking up the fun and learning the sport of fly fishing. After both getting their casting down, we focused on their presentations and sure enough, the trout followed! Both Will and Baden hooked and landed multiple trout throughout the day and had smiles on their faces from ear to ear.

The fishing is good.  Overcast skies and 28-31 degree weather. The water temperature was between 40-43 degrees and Crystal Clear.
