Quote(s) of the Day: How have I been missing out on this the last 24 years!

Fishing Highlights:

Today I got to spend the day on the water with John and Hamilton AKA Hammer. This was Hammers first time fly fishing on a river, so after getting his cast down and how to set the hook, we landed a nice brown trout. I gave John a few suggestions on flies and technique and he was on his own. It seemed like every time I looked for John he was on a fish! Hammer and I had a lot of fun sight fishing to some big fish and we managed to get some of them to the net. The best part of the day was when John caught a Dragon fly, he went to cast and his flies never came down, it was like a little kite!

The browns are beginning to spawn. Please watch out for spawning beds so we can be sure to have a successful hatch! The brown trout are dropping eggs and the other fish are eating them with reckless abandonment. The water is low and clear, dry dropper set ups have been consistently producing.  The water is looking good and is flowing low and clear. With the nice weather there is still ample opportunity for good days on the water. The sight fishing has been great.  The fishing is great.  Partly Cloudy skies and 60+ degree weather. The water temperature was between 60+ degrees and Crystal Clear.
