Quote(s) of the Day: Wow that was a big elk!

Fishing Highlights:

The air was crisp this morning. You can tell Fall is creeping around the corner. We started the day off with hopper dropper rigs. At first the fishing was slow but once the sun warmed the water the fishing picked up. We were surprised this morning by a huge bull elk charging up the creek. It freaked us all out at first but he turned directions and went the other way. After eating some elk tacos stream side we got back to fishing. Mark and Brendon had a little wager going in the afternoon so we focused on catching as many fish as possible. We fished double dries and dry droppers. Brendon was the winner of the bet with the most fish. Overall a fantastic day as Espy.

Summer is here and the fishing is great in Denver and Boulder, Colorado. Everything is hatching right now! Midges, mayflies, stoneflies and caddis we are seeing it all! Terrestrials are fooling lots of fish. A three fly dry fly rig can help provoke the trout to rise to your flies! Lots of fish are feeding on the surface. For best results fish emerging insect patterns behind your dry flies. We are seeing lots of wildlife this summer. Moose, elk, deer and bald eagles are commonly seen throughout the year. It has been a great summer, fall is almost here and the fishing should be fantastic.  The fishing is great.  Clear skies and 60+ degree weather. The water temperature was between 56-59 degrees and Crystal Clear.
