Fishing Highlights:

What a day we had on South Boulder Creek today. The weather was perfect and the fish were in the feed prepping for the winter months which are quickly approaching. It was Wendy and Julie’s first time on South Boulder Creek and they did great adapting to a different trout environment. The fishing was slow to start with little to no bug activity happening and then the nine o’clock hour hit and they were on the feed. Wendy’s first fish of the day was a nice 19” rainbow with 12” of girth. Fat! Her next two fish went 23 1/2” and another around 22”. Julie picked up her first fish of the day and continued the stream throughout the morning raising some nice rainbows. After the lunch hour the water temps came up and we saw the mayflies. PMDs, drakes and mahogany’s were all hatching which had the fish just under the surface film. Julie was catching fish after fish in the first run taking her biggest fish of the day. Wendy landed a 24” rainbow on a streamer. It was a great day!

The fishing is great.  Clear skies and 60+ degree weather. The water temperature was between 52-55 degrees and Crystal Clear.
