Quote(s) of the Day: Oh Man! That is a Lincoln Hills Monster

Fishing Highlights:

Joe came from PA and was meeting up with a few friends for some serious hiking over the weekend. He decided that he wanted to do a little Colorado fishing before everyone got in. Today the weather was cool, rainy and dark. The perfect day to run some streamers. With the flows being 43 CFS we focused on lots of deep pockets and long deep runs in the canyon. Water that I had yet to fish this year because of the high run off. The first cast that Joe laid in the run produced a nice rainbow. A few casts later and Joe had another nice rainbow on the line. We moved into a large pocket and Joe had a monster eat the streamer, only to make a run and break him off. We continued to work the water and produced another nice fish, but the monster of Deadwood will haunt our dreams tonight. Overall, it was a great time and we got to work on some skills that Joe will use for days to come.

The fish are responding well to all kinds of angling techniques. Streamers, nymphs and dry flies. Everything is working! Get to the water now in order to experience some of the best insect hatches of the year.  The fishing is fantastic.  Overcast skies and 60+ degree weather. The water temperature was between 52-55 degrees and Crystal Clear.
