Quote(s) of the Day: That was a big fish!

Fishing Highlights:

We hooked some big fish early in Deadwood Placer but we could not bring them to the net. The takes were quick and the fish were hot. The key today was to have a quick and aggressive hookset. I would say probably half of the fish that were landed today were browns, which is a good sign. Some gorgeous cutbows were landed as well as several rainbows. The great dry fly fishing on this stretch should be right around the corner.

It is another Colorado summer and good fly fishing is on the horizon. Get to the water now in order to experience some of the best insect hatches of the year. Our pro guides are writing fly fishing reports about all kinds of insects! We are seeing all stoneflies, mayflies, caddis and of course midges.   The fishing is good.  Clear skies and 60+ degree weather. The water temperature was between 52-55 degrees and Crystal Clear.
