Quote(s) of the Day: "Jack that is not the easiest cast and drift to make, but you made it happen!"

Fishing Highlights:

The flow was bumped up on us a little overnight .It was around 230 when we started out up top in tunnel. We found the soft water and the fish were there to eat. Ken hooked up first on a dry dropper rig. Jack hooked his first on a nymph rig. It stayed that way for most of the day. We went to the very top to check out the water. The only spot was the other side (of course it was).Jack got his roll cast down quickly. He was rewarded with several hook ups with a very nice cutthroat making his way to the net. It was great to be rewarded after long cast like that. Nice job Jack! Ken stayed in the soft riffles down below and took many nice fish including a nice cutty himself. The afternoon brought some clouds and cooler weather to us. The fishing stayed hot though. Again with half on the dry and half on the nymph rig. It was great to fish with Ken and Jack again hope to see you soon.

Dry flies and droppers are the way to go! The fish are looking fat and healthy! Many nice fish in the 16-22” range have been hooked! This is your best shot at a World- Class trout fishing experience close to Denver. Try an Amy’s Ant (size 10-12) or California Blonde (size 10-16) to fool hopper eating fish.  The fishing is great.  Clear skies and 56-59 degree weather. The water temperature was between 44-47 degrees and Crystal Clear.
