Quote(s) of the Day: “Just one more cast and we’ll go! Famous saying by every Fly fisherman”

Fishing Highlights:

Today was a Czech nymphing lesson day for Ron and Alan. After a short tutorial on a tuck cast and proper drift Alan and Ron were hooking into their first trout on a European style rig. Ron was on fire in the first hole taking a few fish back to back. Alan picked it up very fast as he is a quick study and was putting fish In the net. Right before lunch Ron and Alan had a double which I think is a perfect way to end a morning session. After the lunch hour Alan picked fish up on the Czech rig in every hole we came to. Before the days end Alan wanted to take another fish to end in a strong note so he told Ron “one more fish and we’ll go!” We all know what that means as a Fly fisherman. It’s never just “One more fish”. We took a fish on the second or third drift and then took a couple more before calling it a day. Thanks for a great day on the water guys. It’s always a pleasure to take you out and teach you guys something new.

Work the water in between major runs and riffles, sometimes the odd pocket will produce a trophy fish. The fish are looking fat and healthy! Many nice fish in the 16-22” range have been hooked! The big fish are on the feed! Anglers are reporting hooking numerous brown and rainbow trout in the 5-10 pound range. This is your best shot at a World- Class trout fishing experience close to Denver.  The fishing is good.  Partly Cloudy skies and 60+ degree weather. The water temperature was between 48-51 degrees and Crystal Clear.
