Quote(s) of the Day: Boy, they are being tough today. We are getting the repetition but not the rewards.

Fishing Highlights:

The water is crystal clear and the scenery was beautiful on Singing River Ranch today. Peter and I continued our work on reading the water and making the appropriate casts. He's a quick study and put it into practice all day long. The fish were tough today, we had several come up and hit the dry, but just didn't get the hook up. We had a great day fishing the small pockets and seams in between the boulders and deep pools. With the water at the level it is and how clear it is, you need to stay back and make longer casts than usual. The fish seamed a little spooky today. Overall we landed some fish and we had a great time talking strategies and tactics for small water, that can be translated into big water and produce more fish to the net.

Most rivers and creeks are running high and dirty. However, the flow on Bear Creek, just outside Morrison and Evergreen, Colorado has been flowing clear and steady. As the water drops look for the fish to begin actively feeding on the surface. The water is beginning to drop and another fun summer is around the corner.  The fishing is fair.  Clear skies and 60+ degree weather. The water temperature was between 48-51 degrees and Crystal Clear.
