Quote(s) of the Day: This is crazy wind, but this place is beautiful!

Fishing Highlights:

Today was an interesting day in the canyon, the sun is staying low this time of the year which makes for cold days. We had a great day and caught quite a few fish despite the cold weather and very big wind gusts. This was Blake's first time fly fishing so I spent a little extra time getting him going, he was a natural. Blake ended up catching 6 fish before lunch, but this was not Tim's morning and he definitely made up for it in the afternoon. Tim ended up catching over ten fish in the afternoon and the biggest of the day , a nice 19in rainbow trout. I'm looking forward to fishing with these guys again next year!

The weather is getting cooler and the fish are beginning to stack up in the pools and riffles. Fall is here and the weather is quite a bit cooler than normal, strive to be on the water mid-morning. The blue winged olive hatch has been occurring during the mid-morning on cool and cloudy days. The brown trout are spawning; please watch your step to avoid damaging spawning grounds. The sight fishing has been phenomenal. The fish are getting spooky a quiet and stealth presentation is the key to catching. We are catching some very colorful fish right now on our guided trips. Look for brown trout to be very colorful and they are visible in the riffle right now. The days are getting shorter and the nights cool, winter is around the corner.  The fishing is great.  Partly Cloudy skies and 44-47 degree weather. The water temperature was between 36-39 degrees and Crystal Clear.
