Quote(s) of the Day: "Four fish in the twenties, not a bad morning"!
Wow-what a fight!

Fishing Highlights:

Scott and his family came up from Texas to enjoy a couple of days of fishing. We started the day with dry dropper rigs. Megan was first to hook up. It was on for a couple of seconds before coming off. A couple of drifts later her second fish just happened to be a beautiful rainbow that went twenty one inches that made to the net. Scott got into the game with a couple of great fish himself. Megan moved down river and stocked a big rainbow for about ten minutes. Finally she ate the dropper. After a short battle that one made it to the net as well. That fish went twenty four inches! Scott lined himself on a big one after a few drifts that one ate and came to the net.Scott"s fish went twenty three inches. After moving around Scott hooked into another big fish in the twenties. Needless to say it was a great morning. The afternoon brought us more great fishing on the dry dropper rigs .Everyone was hooked up constantly. It is always great to see everyone again. Thanks for another great day.The Spencer family picked a beautiful day to come up to the club. They were calling for hot temperatures and that is what we got. The morning was cool in temperature but hot for fishing. Connor put fish after fish in the net all morning. Julie also hooked quite a few and landed some nice ones. After a delicious lunch, we got back out there looking for the big ones. Both Conor and Julie both caught a couple of very nice fish in the afternoon. They both also caught fish on the surface with dry flies. It's always a pleasure guiding the Spencers. Until next time Tight Lines.

After a whole season of pressure the fish are getting spooky. Stealth is the name of the game so walk softly and keep a low profile. The lower flows and clear water means it’s time for smaller flies, longer leaders, and lighter tippets.  Make sure to not expose yourself too much in an effort to avoid spooking fish. Dry and dropper rigs are fooling a lot of fish. The water is low and clear, dry dropper set ups have been consistently producing.  The water is looking good and is flowing low and clear. With the nice weather there is still ample opportunity for good days on the water. The sight fishing has been great.  The fishing is great.  Clear skies and 60+ degree weather. The water temperature was between 48-51 degrees and Crystal Clear.
