Quote(s) of the Day: "This place is so beautiful!"
What a great day with Louis at Lincoln Hills!

Fishing Highlights:

It was a great day fly fishing at Lincoln Hills with Gina and Brendan. These two had no fly fishing experience and within 20 minutes Brendan put a great rainbow in the net -my man! Gina and I spent some time working on casting and creating drag-free drifts and in no time we were moving fish. Gina and Brendan both put a couple of a great rainbows in the net before lunch! Chef D prepared a great meal as usual and we enjoyed some stories before getting back on the water. In the afternoon, the group continued to put fish in the net. After a little bit Brendan was finding fish all on his own. Gina had the chunker of the day with large cutbow that had 13'' of girth! It was a pleasure to fish with these guys and I hope we get to do it again!Today I had the pleasure of fishing with Louis and friends up at Lincoln Hills on a beautiful saturday. The flows are down, the weather is perfect and the fish are feeding! The mornings have started a little slow but once you find some feeding fish, its game on. Louis was a pleasure to fish with today. We worked hard on great nymphing techniques to get him on some great fish. Today Louis was able to hook into plenty of fish and of course some big boys. Having steps and tunnel as our beats today, it was a little bit of both worlds. Working any bit of soft water or soft riffle, we were able to pick up fish on a variety of patterns. The highlight of the day was for sure when Louis finally landed a big rainbow! So many got the best of us but we suceeded. It was a total blast hanging with you guys today!

It summer at Lincoln Hills, the big fish are on the feed and many big fish in the 4-6 pound class have been hooked and our fly fishing trips have been fantastic. The big fish are on the feed! Anglers are reporting hooking numerous brown and rainbow trout in the 5-10 pound range. This is your best shot at a World- Class trout fishing experience close to Denver.  The fishing is good.  Overcast skies and 19- degree weather. The water temperature was between 48-51 degrees and Crystal Clear.
