Quote(s) of the Day: This a great place. Maybe we will vacation out here in the summer more often now.

Fishing Highlights:

Today I got to fish with Bennett and his family on Lincoln Hills. We had a great day together and caught a few fish. The river was a tale of two rivers for us today. This morning the fish were very low to the bottom of the river and tight lipped. The fish that we did get to hit a fly, came to the dry flies that we were throwing. I fished the morning with Gray and Jenny and both caught fish on the hippy-stomper. This afternoon though we had a thunderstorm come through and that started the drake and the PMD hatch and the fishing was off the hook during that time. Jenny caught some very nice cutbows and brown trout, while Bennett and Gray fished above us and caught several fish on a stemi and dropper rig. The fishing was good, the company was great and we all had a great time. Thanks for coming up and see you next time.

Lots of insects are on the water! This is some of the best fly fishing close to Denver right now. We are seeing regular hatches of Pale Morning Duns, Gray and Green Drakes, Mahogany Duns, Caddis, Yellow Sallies, and Golden Stones.  Dry flies and droppers are the way to go! It summer at Lincoln Hills, the big fish are on the feed and many big fish in the 4-6 pound class have been hooked and our fly fishing trips have been fantastic. Look for the caddis to start popping in the afternoon. This is your best shot at a World- Class trout fishing experience close to Denver. It is one hot summer on the river! Time to put the waders away and bust out the gravel guards and wet wading sandals.   The fishing is good.  Overcast skies and 60+ degree weather. The water temperature was between 52-55 degrees and Crystal Clear.
