"This is Colorado fly fishing at its very best! Dry flies, nymphs and streamers we did it all today and caught some huge trophy rainbow trout!"
"I'm so glad we had the opportunity to fish here two day's straight!"
This is the kind of day that in the middle of the winter I will look back on and smile. It was that good!
That was a smart fish!
Fishing Highlights:
The highlight of the day was watching fish coming up and eating dry flies.Paul was hooking into fish left and right to start things off and carried it through the entire day. Rich was not far behind. Fish were keying on smaller bugs today and once we found the pattern they liked we spent more time fighting and netting fish than fishing. Awesome day!Both Tommy and Richard stripped streamers to land some giant rainbow trout in the 6-7 pound range!The fish were out of the deep runs and feeding hard. There were several times that Dave and Dan were doubled up together. It was an amazing day.Landing 5 species of trout in the same day is incredible.Fishing the pocket water in the upper canyon with drydropper combos and getting lots of eats.
The fishing is great.
