Fishing Conditions: GOOD
Fishing Trip Date:
Saturday, Jul 28, 2012Quote(s) of the Day: "This fish is going to pull me in"
Fishing Highlights:
Mary catching and landing a 18 inch Rainbow, her first fish on a fly rod!A great day to be on the river for sure. A few clouds along with an occasional breeze made for a comfortable and relaxing day. Fishing was a bit slower in the early morning but picked up in the afternoon as the bug life became more active. Water is clear and flowing at a very fishable level. Seeing a number of fish in the 20 inch range throughout the river. Nymphing proved to be most productive but we were able to take a number of fish on a hopper dropper rig with a few aggressive fish slamming the hopper. Good drifts are producing good results. The fishing is good. Partly Cloudy skies and 60+ degree weather. The water temperature was between 52-55 degrees and Crystal Clear.
