Quote(s) of the Day: "We had a great evening of Colorado Fly Fishing. The bugs are hatching and the dry fly trout fishing is off the hook!"
That is the most beautiful fish I have ever seen on South Boulder Creek.
"He ate it...set the hook."
"I don't get on the water that much, but it's great every time I do."
This is the most fish I've ever hooked in this short of time!
"Man it is great to get away for a couple of minutes."
Fishing the evening hatch is hard to beat at Lincoln Hills
"Holy cow! That fish ate the entire grasshopper!"
What a beautiful place to come to work. You are really lucky!
Fish the riffles for active feeding fish!

Fishing Highlights:

We caught a gigantic rainbow trout on a grasshopper fly!Great day on South Boulder Creek catching trophy cutthroat trout on dry flies and droppers. The fish were definitely looking up this evening. Hoppers served as good attractors, but they would not commit to eating them. We fished a elk hair caddis and adams behind the hopper to get the fish to eat. We were hitting beautiful Rainbows all afternoon on a dry drop rig. I could tell from his smile he was having a great time on the water! We caught big fish using dries, nymphing, and with streamers! "The highlight of the day was watching my client hook fish on his first three casts.Catching fish on dries as the sun sets was awesome.Hooking back to back rainbows with beautiful red stripes set the mood of the day at a high positive. With two gorgeous hook-jawed rainbows to our name, we could relax and throw hoppers for rest of the afternoon. It didn't take long to get into fish. When we finally hit the water the bit was on! Top water dry fly action fly fishing in Lincoln Hills

The fishing is fantastic.  Clear skies and 60+ degree weather. The water temperature was between 44-47 degrees and Slightly Off.
