Guide Profile | Adam Wells

Adam has been guiding fly fishing for 22 years. Whether helping a first time fly fisher get the basics down or helping the seasoned angler work on the finer points of his drift, Adam loves to share and pass on his knowledge and passion for fly fishing and the outdoors.

Adam grew up in the outdoors as his family operated a small lodging business between Arapahoe National Forest and Rocky Mountain National Park where he had free rein to fish, hunt and explore. Adam then enlisted in the United States Marine Corps after high school before attending college. In college Adam started guiding fly fishermen and elk hunters and this experience opened his eyes up to everything the outdoor industry has to offer. Graduating with a degree in Wildlife Biology, Adam started working for large private ranches as the wildlife manager and eventually worked his way to being General Manager for some large recreational ranches. Adam, when not guiding fly fishermen keeps very busy with his own small ranch that he manages for wildlife. He has also taken on most of the operations of his family's business, has a wildlife management/consulting company, and is a host for a popular outdoor TV show that airs on The Sportsman's Channel.

Adam is very fortunate to have made his living following his passion in the outdoors and looks forward to sharing that with his clients on the river.
